The Calaveras Superior Court will be closed.

Early Closure Notice – December 24, 2025

The Superior Court of California, County of Calaveras, will close early at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, to allow Court staff time to be with their families.

The Court will be closed on Thursday, December 25, 2025, in observance of Christmas and will reopen on Friday, December 26, 2025, during regular business hours.

To ensure continued access for filing, electronic filing (e-filing) will remain available, and information on approved e-file service providers can be found on the Court’s website.

Notice of Temporary Closure

Calaveras Superior Court will be closed on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:15 p.m.
to allow staff to participate in a holiday event.

Regular operations will resume at 1:15 p.m.

During this time, parties may continue to submit filings through the Court’s E-File system.

TEXT Messaging SCAM

The Calaveras Superior Court has been made aware of an ongoing scam that uses fake text messages appearing to be sent by the Court or DMV that seek payment for unpaid traffic citations.

The Court and DMV does not and will not contact the public through text messages to make payments for traffic citations.

The public is cautioned not to provide financial or personal information If contacted via text or a phone call. The Court does not seek this information through texts or phone calls.

If you are unsure about having paid a traffic citation, please visit the Court’s website at Home | Superior Court of California | County of Calaveras and click on “Pay Fines.” From there, you will be directed to a site from which you may search and enter your corresponding information to see if there are any outstanding balances.
